Ordering prescription eyewear online works differently from buying in a store, and it takes about five minutes once you know the steps.

Start with the frame. Every frame on this page can be ordered with prescription lenses, or bought on its own if you already have lenses you want to keep. Once you've chosen one, Select Lenses and Purchase opens the lens builder: single vision, progressive, reading or blue light, then coatings and thickness.

You need two things from your eye exam. The first is your prescription — the sphere, cylinder and axis values for each eye. The second is your PD, the distance between your pupils. Both come from your optometrist. If the PD isn't printed on your prescription, ask for it; most offices will provide it.

Prices on this page include shipping and taxes. The number on the product page is the number at checkout.

Every product page lists lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimeters. If you already own a pair that fits well, checking those three numbers against the frame you're considering is the most reliable way to buy online.
