Rimless

Rimless frames have no rim around the lens: the temples and bridge mount directly to the lens itself. Half-rim frames keep a rim across the top only. Both exist for the same reason — less material means less weight, and less to see on the face.

Most of these frames are titanium or a titanium alloy, which is what keeps them light without the arms losing their shape. If you've worn a full acetate frame and found it heavy by the end of the day, this is the collection to look at.

Two things worth knowing before you choose one. Rimless lenses are drilled at the mounting points, so a very strong prescription isn't always suitable — if yours is at the far end of the range, contact us before ordering and we'll check. And because no rim hides the lens edge, higher-index lenses look considerably better in a rimless frame than standard ones.
