Material:  Lenses are crafted using CR-39 (Columbia Resin 39), a plastic polymer commonly used in the manufacture of eyeglass lenses with UV400 Coating that meets ANSI standards. The surface of this lens is resistant to scratches, most solvents, and everyday wear.

Photochromic lenses are eyeglass lenses that are clear (or nearly clear) indoors and darken automatically when exposed to sunlight. An added benefit of photochromic lenses is that they shield your eyes from 100 percent of the sun's harmful UVA and UVB rays.  It's a good idea to consider photochromic lenses for children's eyewear as well as for eyeglasses for adults Because a person's lifetime exposure to sunlight and UV radiation has been associated with cataracts later in life.

Progressive lenses digital state of the art technological improvements have created  a smooth and consistent transition between differing lens strengths within the lens itself. Also known as “multifocal” or “varifocal” lenses, they offer all of the improvements of the old out moded bi- or trifocal lenses such as a 20% wider scope of view that is  undistorted,  a unique visual correction design in these lenses is created on the back of the lenses rather than on the front. This allows elimination of the 'key hole effect'  common to standard progressive lenses.
