The Gmei Optical 8039TA is a semi-rimless frame in pure titanium: rim along the top edge of each lens, nothing along the bottom. It is the construction that puts the least material between you and what you are looking at.
Pure titanium is the right material for a semi-rimless frame because the upper rim and temples carry the whole lens on a very small cross-section, and they have to keep doing it after months of use. Titanium does not corrode from sweat or skin contact, weighs about half what steel does at the same strength, and is hypoallergenic — relevant if nickel alloys have given you trouble before.
With the lower rim open, the lens is held by a fine nylon cord and the frame reads as a single horizontal line on the face. Nothing interrupts the lower field of vision, which is a practical advantage across a desk and a screen. At 142 mm across with 140 mm temples the fit is medium to slightly wide.
