Description
The Gmei Optical 35069 is a cat eye in metal rather than plastic, which keeps the lifted outer corner sharp instead of soft. The alloy front is thin enough to read as a line on the face. Six colorways.
Material Build
Alloy frames are what you reach for when you want a fine profile: the metal holds a narrow rim that plastic could not support at the same thickness. This one uses anti-slip temple tips, so the light weight does not translate into a frame that slides. The finish is applied over the metal rather than through it, which is normal for alloy and worth knowing if you are hard on your glasses.
Design & Fit
The cat eye lift here is moderate rather than dramatic โ enough to shape the face, not enough to dominate it. At 137 mm across with an 18 mm bridge it suits narrow to medium faces, and the 145 mm temples are a standard length. Full rim, so the lens is supported all the way around.

Updated ยท August 8, 2026The number that matters
From the moment you place your order to the moment it is delivered, United States:
This is the complete window, lens making and shipping included โ not just the shipping part. Ready-made frames without prescription lenses land at the short end of the range; prescription and custom lenses at the long end.
Where the time goes
The window above is made of two parts. Making your glasses comes first, shipping second.
Add the two parts and you get the window at the top: ready-made frames 6 to 14 business days, prescription lenses 12 to 18 business days. Orders placed on a Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday start the next working day, which adds one.
Shipping time by destination
Business days in transit after your order leaves us. Add the making time above to get the full window.
We may adjust these windows at any time without notice.
