The Gmei Optical M6212Y is a retro oval built from an alloy front and TR-90 components — a 49 mm lens on a 137 mm front, which puts it at the small end of standard. Six colorways, including two-tone finishes.
The alloy rim keeps the outline fine, which is what a retro oval needs to avoid looking bulky; the TR-90 elements add flex where the frame takes stress. Neither material carries much weight, and with a lens this size the total is minimal. Anti-slip temple tips handle the consequence of a light frame, which is that it would otherwise move.
