Description
The Gmei Optical M6212Y is a retro oval built from an alloy front and TR-90 components โ a 49 mm lens on a 137 mm front, which puts it at the small end of standard. Six colorways, including two-tone finishes.
Material Build
The alloy rim keeps the outline fine, which is what a retro oval needs to avoid looking bulky; the TR-90 elements add flex where the frame takes stress. Neither material carries much weight, and with a lens this size the total is minimal. Anti-slip temple tips handle the consequence of a light frame, which is that it would otherwise move.
Design & Fit
A 20 mm bridge on a 49 mm lens is a wide-bridge, small-lens combination โ it sets the lenses further apart than usual, which is what gives the frame its period look. The six finishes run from plain to two-tone rose and coffee gold. Full rim construction throughout.

This is the complete window, lens making and shipping included โ not just the shipping part. Ready-made frames without prescription lenses land at the short end of the range; prescription and custom lenses at the long end.
Where the time goes
The window above is made of two parts. Making your glasses comes first, shipping second.
Add the two parts and you get the window at the top: ready-made frames 6 to 14 business days, prescription lenses 12 to 18 business days. Orders placed on a Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday start the next working day, which adds one.
Shipping time by destination
Business days in transit after your order leaves us. Add the making time above to get the full window.
We may adjust these windows at any time without notice.
