The Gmei Optical SS9095 is an oval in pure titanium cut wide — 147 mm across with a 55 mm lens, which makes it one of the few oval frames that works on a broader face rather than shrinking on it. Gold, silver and rose gold.
Pure titanium carries a wider front without the weight penalty that would come with steel or a heavy alloy, and that matters more as a frame gets larger: every extra millimetre of rim is extra grams on the nose. Titanium also resists corrosion from skin contact and stays hypoallergenic, and it takes an adjustment at the temples without going soft at the bend.
Most ovals are drawn small, which is why they so often look wrong on wider faces. This one is the exception: a 55 mm lens with a 20 mm bridge fills the space properly while keeping the soft outline that makes the shape flattering. The 146 mm temples are full length.
