The Muzz 001 is a Japanese retro frame in pure IP titanium, offered in five colourways. The supplier calls the range colorful, and for once that is accurate rather than optimistic.
IP plating is what makes a colourful titanium frame possible at all: the colour is deposited onto the metal in a vacuum ion chamber and bonded to it, rather than sprayed on. That is why these finishes do not chip back to bare metal at the nose pads. Under the colour is pure titanium — light, corrosion-resistant, hypoallergenic.
A soft oval outline is the most forgiving base for strong colour, because the shape does not compete with it. The retro proportions keep the frame from reading as sportswear. Five options. Full rim on all edges, comfortable with stronger prescriptions.
