The Reven Jate 2145 is a cat eye frame built for everyday wear rather than occasion wear. The lifted outer corners give the silhouette its shape, while the injected TR-90 body keeps the whole frame light enough to forget about by mid-morning. TR-90 is a thermoplastic used where a frame needs to bend without taking a set. It resists the small deformations that come from being pushed up onto the head, dropped into a bag, or left in a warm car, and it carries a fraction of the weight of an equivalent metal frame. The color runs through the material rather than sitting on top of it as a coating, so a scuff does not expose a different shade underneath.
The cat eye profile sits highest at the outer edge of each rim, drawing the eye upward and outward. It reads as a deliberate choice on rounder and squarer faces alike. The temples join at the upper corner of the front, which keeps the sightline clear at the sides.
